Sorry to re-open an old post, but i have the same question and your solution does work.
But how do you go about adding actual information regarding hardware.

If i click a scanned network pc --> Custom Fields i see pertinent information under "Scanned Information"

I would like to add this type of information for non-networked systems, to centrally manage all inventory.

Thanks

If I do I get an runtime error in the Domain Overview:

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

any idea?

You can add them manually to the table tblcomputers.
