Adding Clients to the Lansweeper web console

Does anyone know how and at what point does Lansweeper adds client machines to the webconsole list. I cant get any of my client machines to appear and I have run lsclient.exe "server name" and the connection tests pass between the client and the server. Does it query AD ? or does it happen when lsclient.exe is run for the first time. The only machine I can manage is the server itself.

This is the freeware version of the product, also does the freeware version support different authentication credential I’m just not sure where to configure it.

This is a test environment, one server and a two workstations (XP) . I just need an understanding of this product before I recommend it to the company I work for.

As a test I have rolled back to version 3.2 and it seems to be adding and scanning the client PC without a problem (one XP and one Vista). So I am not really sure what is different in version 3.5 as far as communication goes

anyway I am really impressive and want to recommend the software , the question I really need to know is does anypart of your software call "home" ie do you collect any information from your software

The errorlog.txt file can be found in the folder where the service is installed.

The software never "calls home"

I do get a succes result when I run lsclient.exe but im not sure where to find the errorlog.txt is this on the client?

I just dont understand if the connection seems ok why its not being added to Lansweeper and an available client. I need to know that its going to be a relaible and easy to add clients.

When you run the lsclient.exe from the client do you get a success?

No, only the premium version supports this.
