I've been looking into the auto system for creating scheduled reports, but I noticed that the scheduling only allows for CSV, HTML, and Excel under email, and Excel and CSV under directory. Considering that the option exists to export to XML for manual reports, I was wondering why that was.
The specific use case is that we use a different Asset Management tool, because it has better relationship management and purchasing function, but their scanning is abysmal to say the least. We would like to update the entries in the other tool with data from LANSweeper.
They allow for automated XML import through an API URL, so LANSweeper's ability to export reports to XML seemed ideal. But only if we can actually automate it.
If I can just get a hold of the XML report, in an automated function, I should be able to do the rest somewhat easily.
