I have been trying to find network asset manager software for some time and have looked at lots of packages from those that cost tens of thousands of dollars (LANDesk) to those that cost nothing (Spiceworks). We couldn't afford LANDesk although it was extremely nice and we blew up Spiceworks becuase we had too many devices so I was wondering:
1. how many devices can Lansweeper handle before it begins to break down?
2. will the company take a purchase order for the premuim version (yep, we are not allowed to use credit cards)?

1) It depends on the hardware of the server running, you can tweak the amount of simultaneous scans so you should always be safe in you tweak it down.
The biggest installation I know of has about 30.000 computers.
You can also ask the person from this thread : http://www.lansweeper.com/forum/yaf_postst2301_Big-network.aspx
2) Yes, you can select purchase order as a payment option
