After installing version 4, I receive the following error when attempting to start the "Lansweeper Server" service:

Could not start the Lansweeper Server service on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.

Delete it and restart the service.

Hmmm.... that appears to have worked. I had to setup my domain and OU filtering again.

No, the only server listed is
##tempserver##

If you start the configuration tool/scanning setup.
Do you see multiple servers on the left, if yes, delete the one you don't use (might be a leftover from past tests)

That's the thing; I only have it running on one server. It was working fine before I ran the upgrade installer.

This is the problem:
"Multiple scanning servers requires the enterprise edition"

If you have the network support company or enterprise license, please contact us for an updated license key.
Otherwise delete one of the other servers first with the configuration tool before starting this service.

It's an upgrade. Upon further investigation, the error log is displaying this error:

4/19/2010 1:20:02 PM: Multiple scanning servers requires the enterprise edition

Is this an upgrade or new installation?
Please post the errorlog.txt file or any errors from the eventviewer.
