DNS or ipaddress

When Lansweeper scans already scanned computers do it use the last collected ipaddress or do it use DNS? I have some problem scanning my laptops because they are on DHCP.

If you use active scanning then the scanning is done on FQDN.

This problem migth occur if your dns server is not up to date.
