I'm testing Lansweeper and it looks to be a very good software. However, I have some computers listing software twice under the Installation - Software listing. I was assuming this was a WMI call to list any Add/Remove Programs, but maybe not.
The software I have listed twice is Adobe Professional 7.0 Professional. I logged into one of the computers and checked the Add/Remove Programs and the software is listed only once. However, if I look at the regkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall, I see there is a GUID entry for Adobe and a normally named entry.
Does Lansweeper perform a WMI call for listing software or is it getting a dumped listing of the Uninstall regkey? Actually, my real question is why does it list duplicate entries of software for some computers...but not all.
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for the update. I'm willing to beta test if you like.

Lansweeper connects to the registry to the CurrentVersion\Uninstall key.
In the current version the software enumerates all display names.
This is causing doubles because of some other values in the registry (systemcomponent, ...)
This is already fixed in the next version.
