Hello,

I have the Premium edition, version 4.2.0.15. I'm looking in the Configuration Tool, at the bottom under "Licensing". When you go to Software, it has a column that says "Software licensing / Software found in your network". There it lists every version found of every piece of software, and there is a separate line item for any variation in the software (such as, if one user installs a service pack and it updates his version of Office 2010 from 14.0.4015.1000 to 14.0.6029.1000, this is displayed as a separate line item). So, I have a huge long list of items to scroll through looking for software that we might need to pay for.

I would like to remove items from the list of "Software found in your network" and have them not be scanned or listed ever again. I don't need to scroll through 15 different line items for Adobe Flash Player, which I'm looking at for a network with only about 8 computers!

Another reason I need to have my list short and clean is so I can spot if someone updates an application, as described above relating to Microsoft Office, for example. Because this is critical: if someone updates to a new service pack and I fail to add the line-item for the new version to the list of software "to keep track of" in the Configuration Tool, then Lansweeper will report (under "License compliance" in the Web Console) that the software is not installed! I have to be able to easily compare the list in the left column (under "Licensing" in the Configuration Tool) to all the items in the right column and make sure they're there, or my reports will be wrong!

So, how can I do this? I see computer exclusions and IP address exclusions and stuff like that, but can't find anything in the interface or documentation about how to exclude software items by title.

Thanks!

This is not currently possible. We may add this functionality in a future upgrade.

You can however select all versions of a software package at once by doing the following:
- Add one software item to your list of tracked software.
- In the details pane, change "Version" to the following wildcard: %
