How does Lansweeper get the User Information?

We would like to know how Lansweeper obtains user information including login dates, usernames, etc etc. Is it from the domain controllers?

At the time of the scan, lansweeper queries the computer with wmi to find out who is logged on.
If a user is found, the details are scanned from Active directory.
