Hello,
I have followed the installation document. The last step is to launch the browser. When doing so I am unable to access the page. Where have I gone wrong.
When browsing to http://SERVERNAME:PORT(8075) I get "You are not authorized to view this page"
When browsing to http://SERVERNAME/VIRTUAL DIRECTORY(LanSweeper)/default.aspx , I get Server Error in '/' Application. The resource cannot be found. Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
The LanSweeperPRO service is installed and starts correctly. It is running with the lsscanner user account which has Domain Admins privledges.
My first thought is in the Web.Config, I modified the SQL login to use lssqluser. I have not created a username for lssqluser. I tried to modifiy this and use the sa account and to use the lsscanner account. Neither worked.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Rich

You should point your lsclient to the server where the windows service is running (default port is 9542)
The website port is different from the service port

Yes, 8075 was the port. That worked.
I guess it was all in the path. Thank you and I appreciate your help.

Could you try adding the default page to your url "default.aspx"
http://servername/default.aspx
did you install lansweeper in a virtual directory or in the root?
