We are using Lansweeper and everything is working fine, except for scanning any computer that is on a different VLAN. The web client will show the logged in user, the domain, and the IP, but will not show anything else. These users are doing the exact same thing that the ones on my VLAN are doing.

The two errors that I am getting are:
Wmierror Cannot connect to DCOM port 135 : Firewalled? (QARANDD) 11/23/2009 1:51:27 PM
Wmierror The RPC server is unavailable 0x800706BA (qarandd.sturminc.com, QARANDD, 172.16.41.19) 11/23/2009 1:51:27 PM

Is the VLAN what is causing the problem? I have everything set up (including the firewall) the way that it says to on the website.

Thanks for the help!

Zach

I guess the next question that I would have is that would I just need need to add a port exception to the GPO, or would I need to manually check the firewalls on each of the failed PC's?

I turned the firewall off, tried it, and there were no issues. Thank you very much for your help.

If you turn the firewall off and it works we know the problem.

Would you suggest that I turn their firewall off once to try it then?

0x800706BA means a firewall related problem.

It failed. Here is the error readout:

Remote WMI test
-----------------------------------------------
\root\cimv2 Remote WMI access test FAILED
The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)

Remote Registry test using WMI
-----------------------------------------------
\root\default Remote WMI access test FAILED

Also, we do not filter our ports.

Could you try the connection tester from the server to the client.
Does your switch do any port filtering?
