I installed the app a couple of days ago en it works on most computers.
But some computers give the RPC error so I downloaded the Connectiontest.
When I give the IP of the targetpc I get the same RPC error as in the webconsole.
Ping test OK
-----------------------------------------------
Remote registry test OK
-----------------------------------------------
Remote WMI access test FAILED
The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)
When I test with the name (in this case "FLAPC10") of the PC the all the tests run OK!!
So what is the problem here?
BTW. The firewall on the targetpc is disabled & all the services are running.

Open the dns server and take a look at the reverse dns lookup pointers (change/delete the wrong ones)

That's the problem. Another name is registered for that IP. "verkoop22" > 10.0.0.41. How can I change that? The server is windows 2003 server SP2. That's also the DNS server.

If you do a "ping -a ipaddress" of the target computer, do you get the correct computername as reverse lookup?
