Lansweeper 3.5 tests

Hello,

I only want to tell wich difficulties i have with 3.5!

i wanted to upgrade lansweeper 3.2 to 3.5. We are running Windows 2003 server on a virtual machine. When i try to update the database there appear a timeout an the script stops. Then i copied the website into the other website and a many different errors appear, cannot find database Sys... and so on. Then i trie to run the script via sql query analyzer and after that the website was still broken.

Before i installed Lansweeper on a blank windows xp machine and everything runs fine. (only the service status is a little bit confusing?!) Scanned Computers 2538 ??? we only have about 700!

the next thing is, i want to update 3.5 on our live server, but it is not possible to do that because of the licence. Do we get a new licence directly after the licence expire?

The last thing is: we configured in 3.2 the web.config file for
1. active scanning
2. for checking users.
if i install 3.5 there is a point in lsmanager to activate active scanning, but the active scanning button is not checked.
Is the possibility to check user for that website in 3.5 already there?

do i have to create a new web.config file an afterwards put in the following lines:
<authentication mode="Windows"/>
<identity impersonate="true" />
<authorization>
<allow roles="domain\group" />
<deny users="*" />
</authorization>

thats all at the moment!

We are working on a fix for this.

Scanned Computers 2538 ??? we only have about 700!

The 2538 : numbers of scans performed since the service was running.

the next thing is, i want to update 3.5 on our live server, but it is not possible to do that because of the licence. Do we get a new licence directly after the licence expire?

All premium customers will receive their license key when the new version is released.

To enable active scanning you need to use the lsmanage tool now (and check the checkbutton)
To restrict access you need to alter the web.config file like before.
