During LANSweeper Setup, the option to install SQL Server locally is missing.
Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is running on this server, Is it possible that setup is detecting the Symantec Database and the assuming I should install the database there?

No, this is not possible. What is likely the issue is that you are attempting to install Lansweeper on a domain controller.
The option to install SQL Express was removed from our setup for domain controllers. You cannot install this program automatically on a domain controller, as it will not allow you to use local or network service accounts.
The solution is to install SQL Express separately. You can find it here. When rerunning the Lansweeper installer afterwards, you will be able to point it to your existing SQL Express instance.
