Engaged Sweeper
Hi,
I installed lansweeper free on an XP 'server' and set up the GPO and the login script suitably and everything appeared to be working fine for a couple of weeks, however on the 1st it stopped polling new computers.
I've realised that this is because the application lsclient.exe is now not being allowed to run on the workstations.
I have run the connection tester but when I try and open it or run a test I get the error below.
I have removed the GPO, set it back up, edited it in a large number of ways but still can not understand why it is not working anymore.
There have been a lot of changes to the network in the last month - WSUS, some IE GPO changes but nothing that I can see that would have affected this over the entire network. I'm guessing it must be GPO related but can not work out what I need to change.
currently the server name is in the zone assignment list and the inisialize scripts (etc) option is enabled.
Can anyone assist I am wanting to show management how awesme this product is and convince them to go premium but if I can't even show them the free properly they will not be convinced....

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

To avoid this error run the connectiontester from your local disk instead of the network path.

Could you check if:
1) the lansweeperservice is still running.
2) any errors in your errorlog.txt file.
3) can you run lsclient manually on the machines?
