Hi,

we have a server wich has 4 physical CPU's with Hyper Threading enabled. So lansweeper reports that this server has 8 processors --> Is not correct.

Then we have a few notebooks with Dual Core processors. Lansweeper reports that these notebooks have 1 processor --> This is correct.

With wich information would lansweeper show the amount of processors? Could this be fixed?

Best regards

The Hotfix didn't change anything on the server. It still reports 8 processors and the same type of CPU.

Can't really do anything about it since this is reported by WMI.
Maybe there are dell bios upgrades or similar that need to be applied.

Okay, i applied the hotfix but without a reboot. I will reboot the server at evening and post the result here.

This is what WMI is reporting

From the microsoft site:
To apply this hotfix, you must have Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 installed.

That's not the problem, WMI reports the correct CPU. This fix applies only for SP1 server and clients or? The client has SP3 installed and the server SP2.

That's on the main page right after you entered the computername.

8 Processors is wrong --> 4 CPU's with Hyper Threading

1 Processor is right --> 1 CPU with 2 Cores

There are reports with the cores and reports with the processors.
Could you post a screenshot where it's wrong?

Hmm,

the Notebook shows up 2 processors in the task manager (it has 2 cores). So lansweeper has to report 2 processors right? I am getting a report with only 1 processor.

Best regards
