Engaged Sweeper
I would like to use lansweeper on my Windows SBS server, but I am new to SBS, Lansweeper, and especially to SQL 2005.

Can someone help me to get started, the instructions that came with Lansweeper talk about sqlexpress not SQL Server. I do not know how to make a new instance, or indeed if I need to, what effect it may have on other products connected to SQL Server, indeed I am pretty much clueless at the moment.

In the notes that came with the download, it talks about deleting the default website. I really don't want my default website deleted as it contains all my OWA, OMA and Exchange Activesync stuff.... surely it won't REALLY delete the default website - will it?

Any and all help gratefully received.

Ian

You can use the existing sql server (then your database servername will be : 127.0.0.1 instead of 127.0.0.1\sqlexpress)

You do not need to delete the default website (it was just an example).
Best for you to do is to create a new virtual directory or create a new website under a different port.
