Hi there,

I have successfully installed LS3.5 and am very pleased with the results.
Have searched this forum tp find soulutions for several problems successfully.

There is however a problem with Software and Os scanning. I have clients in the database of which nor OS nor the software is being scanned.

Of these clients I have no WMI and no RPC error, so it shoud work fine.

Is there any other cause for this ?

As far as I know the cisco client has a build in firewall which is on by default.
turning it off will probably solve the problem.

Hi,

Thanks for the pointer, there s no probşem with the netwprk I am sure of that. But almost all effected clients are laptops and we use a Checkpoint VPN client, any chance that this is also reported ? and if so any remedy?

This error is caused by:
1) A firewall (third party blocking/filtering the traffic) (some people reported this with cisco VPN client on)
2) A bad network connection.

Which errors are shown in the webconsole?

I don not see any errors in the errorlog.txt, although error are shown in the webconsole.
I have full access to the clients?

Do you see any errors for these clients in the errorlog.txt file?
