I am running v.5044 - when I enter text into the description field the "lock against scanning" check-box auto-fills. Then if I rescan the asset manually or by restarting the lansweeper service the text is deleted and the check-box is unchecked. If I click "Edit asset" after saving - I also see that the check-box is unchecked. This appears to be the only field this is happening on.

I have upgraded to v.5048/5049 (current version) and am still seeing the same behavior. The description field "lock against scanning" is not functioning properly. If I edit the asset and enter a description and save the asset - I see my description entry. If I then edit the asset again - the "lock against scanning" for the Description field is unchecked.

This problem is fixed in the latest version available, can you please download and verify this.
