Hi:
Using version 5.
All our staff have iphones (~50).
They are connected by wifi, and show up as an unknown device(s).
Any chance you can fix that?
Thanks!

IP range scanning, not that they will only be found if there are connected in the same subnet as the lansweeper server and only the mac address will be found.

If a MAC address is found, that is used as the unique device identifier. IP addresses are only used if no MAC address was found.

Ok.
Will the change stick based on the MAC address or?
Hopefully not the IP address (which will change as they are dhcp)...

There are no protocols that can be opened on iPhones/iPads to automatically categorize them. Lansweeper will detect these devices, but will list them as “unknown devices” or “network devices”. You can then manually change their device type to iPhone/iPad.
