Just downloaded and isntalled on windows 2003 server with SQL Server Express. I am running a Premium trial key.

Every time I visit the web console, it comes up the first time, then all other accesses time out. I have to do "iisreset /restart" to get it going again, then it hangs after the next page load.

this is a pretty vanillia w2k3 setup. any idea what's wrong?

Update: This only seems to happen with the Digital Dashboard page is loaded, the other pages work until you hit that page, then everything stops working.

There is other software installed on this box, none of it does anything with IIS (I had to isntall IIS for lansweeper). None of it's running, as I use this box to test things out.

Are you running the latest service pack of windows 2003?

There are some microsoft knowledgebase articles about this and IIS

This box is completely up to date. Windows Update doesn't show any patches to be installed.

Could you post your errorlog.txt file please.

Is there anything else running on this IIS?
It might be an IIS specific problem.

Hmmph.....
Of course, this morning, everything seems to work fine!

nothing in the errorlog.txt gave any idea what was going on, but it seems all fixed now (at least for the moment).

And now it's busted again. Found the IIS error below in the Event Viewer on the Application tab.

Scanning doesn't seem to be the issue, the machines are all scanned and I still have this problem. It's a fairly fast quad core and doesn't seem to be loaded at all.

There are roughly 90 machines scanned and none in the queue.

Have you installed Lansweeperservice and web service on the same server with the db too?

In that case may be the lansweeperservice take too much resources and browser go in timeout ... I had the same problem ...

Put lansweeperservice on a different server ...
