Why do i need administrator Rights on the SQL server during installation?

Hello,

I'm trying to install a new database on a new instance. during the database installation check i get an error that i'm not administrator. This is correct i only have rights to create a new database on the SQL instance.

The Database admin won't give me the administrator rights. He would like to install Lansweeper himself but he wants to know why administrator rights are needed.

What does the installation do on SQL server?

The installer creates a database and database user. It is recommended that you choose a user with sysadmin privileges to install the Lansweeper database. Once installed, the Lansweeper service and web console will connect to the Lansweeper database using their own lansweeperuser SQL user, which only has access to the Lansweeper database. Sysadmin privileges are no longer required when installation has completed.
