- Did not help

I have this problem on 2 Windows 7 PC's
- 1 Install is less than 7 days old, the other has been in operation for months.
- Both members of a domain.
- Both up to date and virus free.
- Both Have firewalls disabled

Is there a trick to getting Windows 7 machines working?

Problem Solved.

I traced back and found out that when adding the 2 Win7 systems to the SBS domain it populated the computer name field with "USERNAME-PC" even if the computer name is actually Win7-PC-BOB, it will add the USERNAME-PC to the domain anyways, even though it is a false computer name.

So ... call it a bug in Win7
- Adding a pc to a domain, verify that the computer you are adding and the actual pc name are identical.

We plan to upgrade to Premium in the next few weeks, just making sure everything does as it should and working out the bugs with our equipment. (such as this one)

So far it works well and only a few Firewall issues that were easy enough to work out.

Thanks!

Windows 2003 Domain / SBS
I am going to remove and re-add to the domian to see if that is the issue.
Very clearly an issue with security/ permissions from Domain to Client.
I will report back .. thanks.

They should work like any other OS.

Are you sure that the user has administrative permissions on the client?
