Windows machine as a device

Is there a way to setup a probe on a windows box but have it appear as a device? What I want is certain boxes to scan and I don't want them in the domain results (computer totals) and I don't want them included in the computers reports, only the device reports.

If the computer is firewalled: no
If it's not firewalled it will show up when doing ip range scanning.

Then is it possible to check for rogue windows boxes that have been plugged into the network? What I mean is if somebody brought a windows laptop or other windows device from home and plugged it into the network, is there a way for an active IP scan to pick that up?
