Please help. I've tried all the methods on the forums here to fix this issue. On 3.2 my PC was pickup on Lansweeper. Since we installed the new 3.5. It pickup my computer but now is in the red. I've tried the connection tester 3 ways and all three came up fine. No issues. I tried to rescan my PC but it will not come up and still give this error. I have my firewall turned off. Check my DCOM and it's good. Check my simple file sharing and it's off. Even turned off the guest account off too without any luck. Also got couple other computers that is pickup but is red too. Used the connection tester on them and they are fine too. Any other suggestions please let me know.

-Thanks 🙂

Thank you very much for the help. After doing that it pickup my computer and a few other ones. I changed that to my user account login which have access to the AD and now is picking up more my pc and a couple others.

The installer warns you when you don't fill in a domain admin account (this is the reason)
Let me know if your problems are fixed afterwards.

Alright, I will have my Net Admin put that under the Administrator login, but only he and I are able to log into the servers. Still will look into it. Thanks.

I'm sorry about that. The user account that lansweeper is set to run on is under local system account.

You might want (need) to change that to a user with the necessary permissions on active directory

Jeff, still one question unasnwered, under which account is the lansweeper service running?

Yeah, I'm remote into the server where Lansweeper is installed as an admin for that server. Also had my Net Admin logged in as the Admin for that server and ran the connectiontester on my pc and it all connects fine without any errors. All this is done from the service server. One thing is that I was checking another PC with the firewall on. It did not have the WMI error before, just the RPC error. When I turned off the firewall, it fixes the RPC error but then gives the WMI error. Very strange how those two corresponds to each other.

Your connectiontester is running with user main\vlee.

Is this the same user as the user running the service?
Is this done from the service server?

Here are the screen shot of the of the following that you have asked for. These screen shots are for my pc which isnt getting scanned by lansweeper. All the screen shot and cmd(ping, tracert, nslookup) are done from the lansweeper server remotely. Lastly, I'm not using alternate credentials as far as I know off.
