I have reinstalled windows 2003 (standard) recently and lansweeper with it...
The old database has been restored. However when i connect to the server with lsclient, nothing seems to happen.

The server itself has been added to a different domain within lansweeper... so the REAL domain is not updated anymore.
The server is connected to the domain "DOMAIN", but lansweeper sees it as connected to "THESERVER".

When running "net config workstation" in cmd i see i that the machine is connected to "DOMAIN".

When running lsclient manually it sees itself as connected to DOMAIN, so it wont update its own data.

Tried updating to the 3.5.2 beta files but without results. What is going on?

I made a fix in the way the domain is handled for NT.
Please download the updated version of the lansweeperservice http://www.lansweeper.com/debug/ntdomain.zip

Let me know if it works.

Try changing this registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
change DefaultDomainName value to the netbiosname of your domain.

I had the same problem.
Workaround:
- uninstall Lansweeper
- logon as domain user (create it before on domain if not exist, for ex. admin and give him the local admin's rights)
- install Lansweeper
- in services.msc check/change to run lansweeperservice as DOMAIN\admin
- restart service.
Now u can login with local users. But if you restart the service as local admin(however it's configured to run as DOMAIN\admin) you will return to the problem. Don't know why...
