If LANSweeper is scheduled to run Active Directory Domain - Active Scanning, do I need to have IP ranges scheduled also if the devices on this AD domain are the same as the devices in the IP range? I'm a bit confused on this process and just want to make sure everything is setup properly.

IP scanning will also allow you to scan objects that are not part of AD as well. iOT devices, printers, scanners, switches, apple devices, stuff like that.

Active Directory Scanning does its scanning based on OU and retrieves IP address based on DNS, it doesn't care about IP ranges.
If you add IP ranges that will include computers, it will rescan them based on the IP range's schedule.
