Hi - I am wanting to automate a Windows Node add using PowerShell for an end-to-end build script.
I've scoured everywhere without luck. Seems to be a bit out there for pulling reports etc, but nothing for an add.
Can it be done ??
I only want to add the basics (HDD, CPU RAM) for metrics

I get the feeling that this is not possible or just not interesting enough to reply to.. ?

Hey PB: I'm not official support - when I use Active Scanning, the LS scan server will query the domain controller within around 15 minutes and scan a computer when it joins the domain - when I was imaging or deploying stuff, I would leave it online for 20 minutes after it joins.
However, if that doesn't suit your needs, you could call lspush.exe during the deployment process, and it will scan the machine and send it to the scan server you specify in the argument - you can check out info for it here: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/scanning-your-network/introduction-to-the-lspush-scanning-agent-...
You could hack together a powershell script with various methods of throwing it into the scan queue, but it's not supported, and overly complicated. Hope that helps!

Hi David - I have a PowerShell script that builds a Hyper-V VM and kicks off the build process . While that's happening I'm trying to get some other backend stuff done such as add this as a New Asset to Lansweeper

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to achieve with Lansweeper here, could you provide more information?
