Hi,
Just seeking some clarification/information on how the 'after scanning' execution plan works. The deployment information page here does not appear to explain it in detail --> http://www.lansweeper.com/kb/109/deploying-a-package-manually-or-based-on-a-schedule.html
We are running version 5.2.0.42 and I think there may be an issue with 'after scanning' but perhaps we are misunderstanding its operation?
Does this process run aftger every asset is scanned and if on the report, group or manual selection it will then run always? if the asset is then scanned again (ie: 20 mins later) but still appears on the selection list is it intended to run again? or perhaps not run again until the following day?
Many thanks,

Lets say you have a group of after scanning assets => As1, As2, As3
When you scan As1, it will deploy only on As1
When you scan As2, it will deploy only on As2
When you scan As1 & As2, it will deploy on both As1 & As2
If As3 is never scanned it will also not deploy on that asset.
When you scan As1, it will deploy only on As1
When you scan As2, it will deploy only on As2
When you scan As1 & As2, it will deploy on both As1 & As2
If As3 is never scanned it will also not deploy on that asset.

No worres Bert. Would it be possible to have the process of after scanning clarified as well please? Should it run after every scan of any asset that is listed on the schedules selection settings?
Thanks
Thanks

I would recommend you update to the latest version (5.3.x.x).
Most likely this will fix the issue you are experiencing.

Since upgrading is free, we do not offer support for older versions.

The issue we are finding is that it will run once but then never again for other assets that appear in the selection group (via report or dynamic group) unless we untick/tick enable for the schedule which seems to reinitialise the schedule but then, only for 1 more pass.

hi
To avoid this I set the option "rescan asset" in the desired deployment package.
