Hi,
We are using Lansweeper version 5.3.0.28
I used to type in all warranty dates myself when new devices were discovered.
But now i removed all the "locks" of the dates and i'm trying to update all dates by letting Lansweeper do this for me.
I have noticed that this works for 1 asset but not the other (although both assets are the same apart from the computername of course).
There is an action with the label "warranty update" but this does not seem to be working each time.
In the TAB "Scan times" of an assets, i find the values 'Warranty : 120 (Days?) and WarrantyRetry: 2 (Days?)
Does this mean i'll have to wait these amount of days? before all waranty days are correctly added?
Is there a way to force my assets to update the warranty date?
Our computers are both HP & Dell. Although it seems to be working better with the assets of DELL.
Is there a way to track this updating system? I have read on these forums that the warranty update is been done in the background, but there must be some trace?
Hopefully someone can help figure this out. If so, it would save me a lot of time.
We have +- 450 computers that i have to keep track of.
kind regards
Z.
EDIT:
I've found the following link:
http://www.lansweeper.com/kb/115/managing-how-often-specific-data-is-scanned.html
you can adjust the 'item wait time' to 0 so that on each scan, the particular item has to update.
I've done this for Warranty and forced an update, so for no joy
