Creating Dynamic Groups to Target Software Installations

Hello,

I'm currently creating a software package for a minor upgrade in our environment. I want to target a specific group that already has the software installed. Should I use a report or a dynamic group as the target for the installation package? Can anyone let me know how to create such a group/report? Thank you.

Dynamic groups and reports are almost the same behind the scenes. But if you can use dynamic groups, it's the easier option.
