When Lansweeper scans linux hosts then it also uses echo as first comman. It does "echo test string". What is the purpose of that command? Is it used for testing if Lansweeper can scan host? Because if echo was not allowed in sudo then I saw in log file error "command not allowed" and nothing more after that when I rescanned the asset. If echo was enabled then after the "echo test string" there were dmidecode commands in log. I didn't see that echo must be in sudo commands list in article https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/requirements/scanning-commands-run-on-linux-computers/ta-p/64579 . I am confused right now why echo must be enabled in sudo commands for scan to work correctly?
