Encryptable Volumes - Protection Status

Background: We are pushing to encrypt all our computers with bitlocker and I created a report to check for machines that have volumes which are not encrypted.

My problem is that some volumes are encrypted but Lansweeper lists their protection status as 'Unknown'.
What is the reason behind this and is there anything that can be done to improve LS's accuracy on this?

Caleb is right. We scan this information from the Win32_EncryptableVolume WMI class.

What you can do is do a quick check to see what the WMI class has. Most issues with bitlocker status is due to the WMI not updating the information.

I believe Lansweeper pulls this information from the Win32_EncryptableVolume WMI provider class.
