I have phones that I don't want Lansweeper to scan, but unfortunately, it is not reading their MAC addresses, so it doesn't know its a phone and exclude it.

But every one of these Astra phones report as model "Aragorn" and I want to exclude that model name.

Any insight? Hacks? Work arounds? Anything?

Thanks!

Mike

After the Lansweeper update (6.0.151.32), Lansweeper stopped "seeing" the MAC addresses of these phones.

Any ideas on that?

I had been excluding phones from the scans and LanSweeper does that based on the MAC Address.
Nothing changed on my end as it pertains to the phones at this particular site.

Thanks!

You can create exclusions based on asset types. However, this will only prevent rescans. This is because Lansweeper doesn't know the asset type of something until it has been scanned.

To prevent the assets from being added to Lansweeper, you'll have to exclude their IP addresses from being scanned. You can find more information about excluding asset here.
