We are trying to get our new printers scanned by Lansweeper, but no luck.
Device tester reports "SNMP disabled or wrong community" but Paessler SNMP Tester can scan it ok.
Read some about OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0, and when scanning that in Paessler, it is empty.
Do Lansweeper need to update something or am I missing something else.

Hello there!
The specified OID (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0) is a system OID that generally exists on SNMP-enabled devices and that Lansweeper uses at the start of the SNMP scanning logic to determine whether SNMP is enabled. If 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0 is not accessible on a device or returns no value, scanning SNMP using Lansweeper will fail. There is no workaround for this, as the 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0 check is hardcoded into the scanning service.
More specifically, the device OID (the one you see on the asset page for successfully scanned network devices) is pulled out of 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0 (sysObjectID). In this case, no value is stored here, so these assets return the error "SNMP disabled or wrong community".

Thank you for the explanation. So this should be brought up with HP so they populate 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0 with a correct value?

Hello there!
If the system OID (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0) would return a correct value, then we could indeed scan this asset.
