Hello everyone!

I am running LanSweeper 5.1.0.64, all of my HP computers warranty information is blank. How do I get LanSweeper to get all the warranty information?

Thanks!

Please try the latest version 5.2.0.30 which now uses the HP webservice API to retrieve warranty data.

Manual lookup works ok but does not work through Lansweeper scans for us.

Is there an update available as to when this will be implemented? We can use the new link provided by sukaitsu without any issues for manual lookups like several of the other folks have also mentioned.

Thanks in advance!

So far our testing is promising although the pages load very slowly.

I did it on 25 assets in a row without any popup, and had other users in our organization try.

I think I found a solution! (Accepting discount as a thank you on our renewal LS!~)

Replace the Hewlett-Packard and HP asset links with this in Config --> Asset Pages

http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/action.process/public/kb/search/?javax.portlet.action=true&javax.portlet.sync=c976365085d9a0536a2e338142a15c01&javax.portlet.tpst=867000c4cf25636cc859bfdeb053ce01&javax.portlet.prp_867000c4cf25636cc859bfdeb053ce01=wsrp-interactionState%3D_serialNumber%253D{assettag}%257C_productNumber%253D{systemsku}%257C_op%253Dserial&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&sp4ts.oid=4091412&sp4ts.pn={systemsku}&sp4ts.sn={assettag}

See my previous answer: this will work for one request, as soon as multiple (automated) requests are tried a captcha will be visible.

I read your previous answer, but did you submit the query in the format I supplied? We had multiple users try to flood it by looking up assets and clicking on the links. None of has have received a captcha.

Thank you,

Jeffrey

As soon as multiple (automated) pages are requested all HP pages use a captcha.

Dell provides a special API which we can use to retrieve the warranty information without issues.

Beside the captcha issue is it normal that for properly scanned ESXi 5.0 servers running on "HP BL460C G6" and HP BL460C G8" servers no systemsku are discovered/stored in the Lansweeper DB ?

Yes, this information is not available in the Vmware webservice, it is only retrievable with WMI (which cannot be used to scan vmware)
