Trying to figure out an MSI command(s) that will install an msi application to a remote computer using the deploy software feature in lansweeper. So far, if the user is not an admin if their computer, it fails. If I select system credentials or lansweeper creds, the application says it installs, but no desktop shortcut or anything in start menu.. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This depends on the installer you are using. For MSI packages, you need to use an installer step in your package. Most software installers create start menu icons by default for all users. It is possible that your installation wasn't successful. You can test it by logging on to an example computer under your scanning credentials account and deploying the package under scanning credentials. If the installation was successful and you still don't have start menu entries, you either might need to add parameters specific for that software which trigger creation of start menu entries or you need to manually create them by running an additional script afterwards.
