Inventory Control (barcode scanning) functionality

We currently use Lansweeper and have a question about the ability to track our workstations, laptops, servers, monitors, etc. A way to scan barcodes and get it to pull the serial number, basically anything that will help us take the manual labor out of tracking serial numbers and inventory. Something with a scanner device is preferred, if it is something we have to buy or an app we can put on our phones makes no difference as long as we have a way to scan the universal UPC codes and get the serial numbers. We are looking to control laptops and workstations first and expand to other hardware later.

We have never scanned assets but rather manually entered everything and looking for a new solution.

If the assets are already scanned correctly in your network, you can create QR codes for these assets which will then link you to the asset's web page that will provide you with all the information that is scanned from the asset itself.
