IP Scanning Doesn't Update Software List In Windows Machines

I've been rolling out Adobe Reader 9.3.4 in Active Directory GPO and was expecting to see more computers get the update. However, no new computers were showing up as having version 9.3.4. After running the IP Range Scanning, still no new computers showed up. I then drilled down to a single PC and Triggered a Scan. Only when doing this did the new software version show up. Is this expected? If so, what would be the proper way to get a complete software inventory of the domain?

Oh, BTW trying to do a remote uninstall also triggered a software inventory for the machine.


I just installed the newest version recently, within the past 3 days or so.

Please take a look at the waittime for software, if it's set to X days, then software will only be rescanned after X days.

PS. remote uninstall doens't trigger a new scan.
