Engaged Sweeper
Fist let me explain the situation. I've got a server that is running Lansweeper. I'm using the webinterface on my own machine with the link: http://server.companyname.local:81.

I'v installed a new computer exactly the same as the other computers in my company. But when I try to use Remote control on my own pc (with lsremote) to that newly installed pc. I get an error: unable to contact host: xxxx access denied.

Here comes the strange part. When I use the webinterface locally on the server that is running lansweeper I get no error and lsremote connects with the pc.

I have no issue with other computers.

Help!

Michel

Please review the Remote Control requirements on page 158 of our online documentation: http://www.lansweeper.com/documentation.pdf

Custom actions are run in the security context of the user initiating the action. The user initiating the Remote Control tool must have administrative privileges on the target machine. The error you are seeing indicates that your user lacks these privileges. You could also use runas.exe to run custom actions as a different user: http://www.lansweeper.com/forum/yaf_postst4665_Admin-needed-to-make-Actions-run.aspx
