Hi

We have all our IP-Locations defined and Router, Computers etc shows up just fine when we select an overview for a location. But one thing is missing, the Monitors. Since the Monitors that we find through scanning all are connected to one and only one Computer which is on a location, are there any way to let Monitors default to the same location as the Computer they were "scanned through" ?

It would be very nice, to get a quick total overview of all hardware assets on a given location, in case of fire or theft etc.

Best regards
Christian

There is no built-in functionality to include monitors in default IP location reports. This feature is on our customer wish list, but we do not have an estimated release date for it. Default IP location reports don't list monitors, but only the computers the monitors are connected to.

You could build a custom SQL report based on the tblAssetRelations database table that lists the information you are after. If you are interested in building or modifying reports, we do recommend:
  • Reviewing some SQL tutorials, as the Lansweeper report builder is a standard SQL editor. If you know SQL, you know how to build Lansweeper reports as well. This seems like a good tutorial.
  • Making use of our database dictionary, more information on which can be found here. The dictionary explains in great detail what each table and field stores.
