Engaged Sweeper
Good Afternoon:
I have been trying numerous options and configurations in trying to get a msconfig window to open up that is connected to a remote computer through Lansweeper.
I have been trying to create it in the “Basic Action” or “Advanced Action” menu’s.
Here is what I have entered.
msconfig.exe {smartname}
I usually receive a file not found error.
I have tried various switches and even tried psexec commands.
Sometimes, I can get a msconfig window to open, but I soon realize that it is the one from my own machine.
Do you have any advice that you can offer me concerning this?
Thanks,
Pat

Hi

Doesn't work on remote, I think is intented for troubleshooting.

If you're looking to manage the start up apps with out interrupt a user, you can list them at the asset page under Config\Windows\Autorun

If you want to edit you can connect to a remote computer using regedit and check this hives.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

If it's Startup information you're after, you can find that listed in the Config\Windows\Autorun section of Windows computer webpages, as mentioned by servicedesk as well. This information is scanned by default and stored in the tblAutorun database tables. We can't really provide support for creating specific asset or user actions.
