I know Lansweeper is storing the scan Credentials as encrypted in the database. But when you assign those credentials to a ip range it will scan all the ip address. But how it the scan be performed at the end site.
Is the password on the asset again decrypted in order to scan the machine?
When this is the case it means when you add a new pc with sort of password sniffer you should be able to verify all the password of the assigned credentials to this IP range. Or do I see it wrong?
Or is there a way Lansweeper can detect the new asset but you need to approve this asset in order to be scanned with the own created credentials?
Credentials are stored in the database encrypted, but are decrypted when requests are sent to a computer that gets scanned. There is no decryption required on the computer that is scanned.
