Good Day.

We want to use software license tracking feature in LanSweeper 5.131.

We add "Microsoft SQL Server Standard Edition 2005".
So when we get license compliance report - we see ZERO of "Microsoft SQL Server Standard Edition 2005" software.

But when we add "Microsoft SQL Server 2005" - we see compliance report with some amount of "Microsoft SQL Server EXPRESS Edition 2005".

EXPRESS edition is free and we no need to track it, but Standard edition is NOT free and we need to track it.

Problem is - how to track Standard Edition only ?

We've added an SQL Server license tracker (on the same page as software license tracking) in 5.1, specifically for this purpose.
You can put a random server under the servers tab and then change it's name to %standard% to automatically select all standard editions.

No, but you can track them and set the price to 0 (freeware)

One more question - is it possible to exclude Express edition from tracking ?
