We are using Lansweeper v. 6.0.100.98. When a user submits a Help Desk ticket, everyone in the IT Department receives an email via Outlook. In the Outlook email generated by Lansweeper, there are several strange characters being displayed. The example below illustrates it:

Good morning,

Apparently, there may be an error on the Boards and Commissions page on the citys website. Please see below. Thank you!

Best,

Can anyone tell me what we need to do to get rid of those strange characters and have the email generate normally?
Thanks
Scott

We were able to fix this. Simple fix really, we had outgoing mail configured for SMTP instead of Exchange.

We are using Outlook 2010 and Office 2010. When someone submits an initial Desk Ticket via Lansweeper we are notified via Outlook and the characters look fine. It is only when someone updates the text in the ticket we receive another email with the weird characters.

Is the happening to everyone getting the emails?
