I would recommend having a look at this discussion. Lansweeper does two things that are completely unrelated:
It uses the manufacturer support links configured under Configuration\Asset Pages to link an asset's serial to the warranty page of that specific asset on the manufacturer's website. You can add links for additional vendors, but the URLs will need to include the asset serial as a parameter in order for this to work.
For a select number of vendors, it automatically retrieves warranty details online and adds them to the Lansweeper database. This process cannot be customized, as it is hard coded into the Lansweeper service.
