There are no immediate plans to implement a wildcard search for computer names in the web console search bar. Note that you can "search" any field by:
- Opening a built-in or custom report, e.g. the assets.aspx page you see when clicking the Assets link at the top of the web console.
- Filtering the column you wish to search, e.g. the asset name column. The search boxes implemented in built-in and custom reports use a "contains" filter, not a "starts with" filter.
