Add additional Asset Custom Fields, and Reorder them

I love that we can add Asset Custom Fields, but I'd like to be able to add more than the 20 allowed. Different asset types require different custom fields for us, and we're quickly running out of them.

I'd also like to have the ability to rearrange the order of the fields. As we assign custom fields (by changing the display name), it would be very helpful to be able to rearrange them in a more logical order. I can always rename the fields, but then the assets that have already been assigned values for those fields would have the values in the wrong fields.

Yep, that would indeed work. Thanks for the response. The alphabetical ordering in my case is fine, I just wanted to have 1 field always be at the bottom, so I just ended up letting the auto sort do it's thing and just put Z in front of the one I want at the bottom for now:

Field 1
Field 2
Field 3
Z - Field 4

Here is a possibility for you

Try using
[space]1 - Field 1
[space]2 - Field 2
...
10 - Field 10
11 - Field 11
etc

* OR *

01 - Field 1
02 - Field 2
...
10- Field 10
11 - etc

Is there any insight on when these features may be added? Arranging custom field values would be nice. I tried w/ numbers first ex...

2 - Field 2
3 - Field 3

Works great up until 10+ as 10, 11, 12, 13... get inserted after 1. I supposed

A - Field 1
B - Field 2
C - Field 3

ect... will work for the time being.
