Bulk Asset Assignment

We recently had a large acquisition as well as a large group of users onboarded in the past week. I am going through the process of assigning assets to the users now, but for 100+ laptops, 50 monitors, docking stations, and headsets, it's a tedious process.

It would be nice if there was a way to bulk assign assets either per user or in a bulk upload format (similar to how we bulk import assets).

Example 1 - Single user assignment:

• Select a target AD user, start date and/or end date (if needed)
• Drop down to select the asset type and input the serial number for each item.
• Select save once finished and all assets will be assigned to that user.
• No need to find the asset, click the asset, edit the asset, edit the fields, save the asset, then repeat for 4-6 other tracked items.

Example 2 - Bulk user assignment:

• CSV sheet like the asset import with the following items
  • Users AD name, Asset type, Serial number, Start date, End date (if any)
• Upload to Lansweeper (preferably Sites but Classic is fine)
• Lansweeper reports if an assets serial number is wrong, a user is not found, incorrect date format, etc.
• On successful upload, assets are updated automatically.
