Hello Geert,

Perhaps its possible to read the MS os and office licenses from clients and put them in the DB.

The keys are stored in the regsitry as an binary value.
With some calculating these key can be read as an normal cd-key

More info and an example VBS you could have a look at http://www.vbshf.com/vbshf/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=322&posts=3&start=1

Hello!

I am very interested to have that feature as well.

A workaround like bgrr has done it would be nice for now too.

Bgrr, can you give me some details on that?

Thank you!

i know , i used that tool to scan the network for all the keys.

Added an extra table in the lansweeper db and changed the view of certain aspx files to display the keys for OS and Office in the computer digital dashboard.
Created an report to check for computers in the db who have no keys in de db 🙂

But perhaps it can be build into the client to make lansweeper even completer then it is.

If it helps, you can at least read the client key using a custom action with this utility: http://nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html
